Privacy & data

Last updated: 12 October 2026. Plain-English summary first, details below. This note is written for the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

In short: Tactix Board is for adult coaches and volunteers. You decide what goes into a squad list. We ask you to keep it minimal (first name or initials, shirt number, position). Only you can see your sessions and squads, unless you share a squad with a club you joined. You can export everything, or delete your account and all your data, at any time from Account in the app.

Who is responsible

Tactix Board (tactixboard.app) is a trading name of Dawson Consulting (DC) Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11206889), registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ. VAT number: GB518266383. Contact: [email protected]. For your account (email address and login) we are the controller. For player information you enter into squads, your club (or you as the coach) is the controller: you decide what to record and why. We act as your processor: we only store it so you can use it, and we never use it for anything else.

Guidance for coaches (data minimisation)

Lawful basis

Account data: contract (to provide the service you signed up for). Player data entered by coaches: the club's/coach's legitimate interests in organising youth football teams, balanced by keeping data minimal and visible only to the team's coaches. Clubs may instead rely on their own basis (e.g. membership terms or consent) as set out in their privacy notice.

Where it is stored and for how long

We use these service providers (processors), each under a data processing agreement:

The EU is covered by UK adequacy regulations. Where a provider's group is based in the US, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / UK–US data bridge safeguards in their agreements. We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete a session or squad, it is removed from your devices straight away and fully purged from the server within 30 days. When you delete your account, everything is deleted immediately (any copies in our provider's backups expire on its normal backup schedule).

Your rights, and how to use them yourself

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed by the authentication service. Database row-level security makes sure each request can only read the rows that coach is allowed to see. Signing out offers to remove your data from the device, which is useful on a shared club tablet.

Children

The service is not intended for children to use and children cannot create accounts. Coaches must be 18 or over.
